Currently touring Australia, DJ & musician Motez Obaidi aka ‘Motez’ has travelled the world; played international clubs and festivals, remixed Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure and more, and worked with artists such as Tkay Maidza. He admits his success is the product of a degree of talent, sure, but primarily it’s been hard work – and a little good fortune. “I was lucky enough to be part of the second coming of the golden era of Australian music. I just happened to be there at the right time.”
Sydney dance music dreamer Beni returns to the floor with a new EP, the double shot Love On The Run / Summer’s Gone. The Bang Gang stalwart and former rioter in Belgium released his debut album, House Of Beni, on Modular Recordings in 2011. An eclectic, erratic energy release that joined the dots between Beni’s various musical passions from legal age onwards, the record touched on house, techno, downbeat, and electros (both clash and pop), a visceral flash united by the hand of the man that birthed it.
Two years and some several hundred DJ sets later, Beni is back with a more purposeful spring in his step and more focus to the fire that burns brighter than ever within.
Sunrose are an independent 4-piece band based in the hills of Byron Bay who create timeless psychedelic pop/rock and translate their lifestyle of ocean, nature & sunshine into a sonic swirl of haunting vocals, grooved out rhythms and harmonic undulations dripping with vibrato & delay.
The Delicates are a six-piece band based on the Gold coast, formed in July 2014. Combining elements of rock & roll and pop, the band crafts a unique sound with its melodic vocal hooks, jangly guitars and laid back grooves. The Delicates are spacey and romantic on their self-titled EP, yet bear enough grit so that their music doesn’t whisk you away on a cloud of bliss.
CLD began with three friends jamming for fun with a book of poems waiting to be made into songs. Comprised of a diverse group of musical individuals who have each brought their own knowledge from previous bands. Since collaborating only a few months ago they've quickly found a unique style of genre, mostly rock with a bit of punk and psych elements.
Safari kicks off at 3.00pm to catch those dreamy Sunday session vibes, try to get to the Brewery as early as possible to make the most of it. Doors close at 10.00pm.
